ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe and APEVIA ATX-PFC680W
![]() this is my very first post so please be patient with me. i have a 1. ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe mainboard 2. 4GB SAMSUNG RAM 3. 1TB SATA HDD 4. ATI ALL IN ONE 9600 PRO 5. INTEL PENTUIM 4.2 Hyper-Threading 6. VISTA ULTIMATE and .... the system is a great system howevr i am having some difficulties with my PSU. i had a POWORK 680W but it died after 6 months so i went all out and bought a new Apevia / Aspire Beast Power W/PFC ATX-PFC680W. great power supply however as soon as i connect it to my ASUS mainboard the led on the board itself starts to flash very fast and none-stop. i swtiched it with a cheap Dreampower 350w PSU and computer works just fine. with the Aspire Beast Power i dont get anything, neither one of the fans runs ( PSU, CPU) i tried unplugging everything, using differnt kinds of 4 pins that comes with the PSU with no positive result. i am completly lost . i connected the PSU to a live outlet and nothing. i can see that power does go to the board simply by seeing the green LED flashing but the PSU nor the computer wont work. is my power supply bad or what?what solutions do i have? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance |

Re: ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe and APEVIA ATX-PFC680W
if you can return the aspire i would look towards something like this, I am not overly fussed with the aspire's 70% efficiency rating. If you have swapped supplies and your system runs ok it is not a good sign for the aspire.
