RAM not showing
hey guys, ive just bought a new computer which was a custom build. When i got it the other day and first loaded everything up im pretty sure the system said it had 4GB RAM but now it only says 3GB RAM even though there are definately 4 1GB sticks inside. I have removed each one and put them back in but still it only shows as 3GB. Also the computer has crashed 3 times since tuesday could this be the reason why and any ideas on how to get the other stick of RAM working?

Re: RAM not showing
Are you running 32bit OS? If so it will only show up 3gb of RAM
To take full advantage of the Memory you would need to install the 64bit XP/Vista or whatever OS your using. http://news.softpedia.com/news/32-bi...ta-64312.shtml |
