OCZ or Corsair?
I want to upgrade my current rig as I feel my 1gb of cheapo no-name ram is holding me back and resulting in me waiting 4-5 minutes to load Stalker. In terms of affordability (can't afford ultra-low latency stuff) I spotted two good deals...
CZ DDR2 PC2-6400/800MHZ HIGH PERFORMANCE MEMORY http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/jsp/item/I...radeId=5535401 Corsair TwinX DIMM XMS2 - 2GB RAM http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/jsp/item/I...radeId=5575803 Note: those are both 2x 1gb sticks. Not much of a price difference, they both have lifetime warranties, heat spreaders etc. but I was hoping someone could advise me which one is better according to my system specs. CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 1333MHz FSB @ 2.33GHz MB: Asus P5N-E SLI Mainboard RAM: EudarTech (Cheapo!) DDR2-800 PC6400 1GB Memory Module GPU: Asus EN8600GT 256MB 128bit PSU: Coolermaster eXtremePower 550W

Re: OCZ or Corsair?
OK.
Is the RAM you posted compatible? Or did you not check. Get your RAM of Crucial in this case (www.crucial.com) and in the corner change the country to your one, run the system scanner with IE6 or 7 and buy the RAM, simple, easy and of the highest quality. |

Re: OCZ or Corsair?
I am using the Corsair XMS and am very happy and it overclocks very well
but I would "expect" the OCZ to be just as good the corsair can be bought at newegg for $100.00 with a $40.00 mail in rebate

Re: OCZ or Corsair?
the corsair memory you linked is Cas5 memory thats not really great
CAS4 is better with memory timings of 4-4-4-12 the OCZ link doesnt give the timings >>>>> so at this point I would say neither ?????????????????

Re: OCZ or Corsair?
the heat sinks on ram sticks are just "eye" candy they actually do very little to cool your ram sticks
dont waste any extra money chasing ram heatsinks
