I have a 'higher end' HP thats about two months old. I game quit a bit and recently got a new video card, not surprised that I needed more power to optimize system performance. I've looked up power usage needs and added the 30% and all that jazz. Now I'm looking at a Antec True Power Trio TP3-650 ATX12V 650W[/url] which was recommended by Hawman I think. I know 650 will definitely take care of me for some time but not sure if this power supply will fit in my tower, is there a standard size? Also I see the fan on top...how does that work? Help me out here guys. I'd give you the link but don't know how to do that thingy. thanks

Re: Buying a new PSU.. i guess
this is an easy one >>>>>> I love fly balls
measure the existing PSU in your HP rough measurements to the nearest quater inch is plenty accurate we want width, height and length BTW: the fan for the PSU does not face upwards, it faces downward, it pulls its air from the top of the CPU but have no fear the mounting hole alignment of the case and PSU wont allow you to mount it upside down

Re: Buying a new PSU.. i guess
check the width and depth of the PSU. It should be 150mm x 140mm. If it is, it is standard ATX.

Re: Buying a new PSU.. i guess
150mm = 5.9 inches in US and 140 = 5.5 inches in US
