psu Problem

Asus A8n32_sli Deluxe
Amd 4200+ duo core Porcessot socket 939
bfg 8800 gtx oc1 graphics card
4gb ddr1 memory ram
2xsapsung 200 gb hdd
hiper type-r mk II 770 watt power supply unit(hpy-5k770)

hello everybody...hope you can find me an answer...i have pc probe running all the time i am using the pc for monitoring its behaviour. yesterday i got a weird reading from pcprobe...the 12+ vlotage sesor showed for about 2-3 seconds the voltage going up to 14.34+. is this normal??? it did that only once...is a a pc probe wrong reading or the power supply starts to collapse...
Also when running 3s applications my psu makes a noice like a wining...i sent it back rma and gor a new one with still the same thing...it dows it only when playing games under heavy load...is this normal???

That is not normal for a power supply. Too bad when you sent it back, you didn't opt for a quality brand name power supply. Hiper is not a quality power supply IMHO and if those voltages are accurate, could cause damage to your system.

ok...if it was a problem really from psu wouldnt it be doing it constantly...
also 14.36 is it a safe voltage for the motherboard or it could burn things up
if it is not safe then why it didnt damage anything...

anything above 12.4 volt would make me nervous


yes you can burn up most PC components with erratic dirty voltage


Hiper is not doing a very impresive job in my book


I would look to the antec Trio 650 watt or thermaltake toughpower 750 watt
