[SOLVED] troble with my comp going into hibernation

ok i got this dell and it runs fine untill i sut it off . it will not restart
.it will restart if you tell it to but if you tell it to shut down and then try to hit the button on the frunt it flashes green then goes amber and real dim. i do not even know where to start. there does not seem to be any hardware conflict . to restart the computer i have to take to battery out, unplug ind hit the start button. then i get the message low batt clock not set enter to boot excetra. if you can help it would save me alot of time

Enter bios/setup and load the defaults, don't forget to save when you exit.

If this don't help the problem replace the battery and repeat the above

ok, I've tried a new battrey but that did not seem to help at first. but I think i have solved the problem. it seems that the battery was loose in the mother board, so it would not switch on. I have tweeked the electrode with a pin and have had no truble since!
