problem adding RAM
Hi everyone. I am trying to help a neighbor add some memory to her computer. It is a Compaq Presario 5108US, about 6 years old. I tried to add 256 but the computer did strange things (don't remember what), so I figured I'd go smaller and try just 128. This is 128, 168-pin DIMM, SDRAM, PC2133. I just tried it and it will boot and I can log in, but after that, it freezes. Really don't understand what is going on. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

 I would star by running with only the new stick of RAM and seeing what happens.
