Re: need a few answers ???
Hello again Mike.
![]() It's more likely that the fan contrller simply died (may have been caused by poor PSU )The antec Eartwatts 430 would be a good fit for your system. I've done some check and the SR1703WM takes a standard ATX PSU. So the EA430 will fit in your case with no problem and offers plenty of power for your current rig. It's $45 @ Newegg after a $20 rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371006 rebates good until August 12th http://images10.newegg.com/uploadfil...ug1207cg05.pdf |

Re: need a few answers ???
I don't know how they are on with RMAs. I mostly buy from Newegg and they carry Ultra Products. I'm not a fan Ultra products either as they are low quality IMHO. Newegg also provides thier own 1yr warranty on most products, so you don't have to deal with manufacturer.
Another thing, I don't think it's a good idea to use a fan controller on the CPU fan. I know alot of people do but you just never know when it's going to die and I simply don't like taking that chance with CPUs. One last thing $45 for the EA430 is really hard to beat. For that money you'll normally get a low efficiency PSU with no PFC (Power Factor Correction). The Earthwatts Series is 80Plus certified (meaning it's over 80% efficient) and has active PFC which basically means it'll provide a cleaner more, consistent flow of power. If you RMA your fan controller post back here and let me know how it goes. It's always good to feedback on companies customer service and RMAs. |
