Recently my computer has been crashing a lot, and getting BSoD's. My computer seems fine just running, say AIM and firefox.
However if I play a game for more than 15 or so minutes, watch multiple videos, or run iTunes for a few hours my computer tends to crash, which makes me think it is a RAM problem. Although I have heard it may be a heat problem. Also, when I restart my computer it sometime takes a few tries. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: P4M80P System Model: snc302eeh BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.66GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 1022MB RAM Page File: 454MB used, 1956MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: None DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode |

Re: A RAM issue?
How old is the setup, and what brand and model of Power supply do you have?
How long has it been since you've opened up the case and got rid of all the dust? Might be high time to get in there and clean things up :) I'd suggest you install a program called "speedfan". This'll give you temperatures and fan speeds, might give a glimpse of what the problem is.
