Good PSU (600-700W) for the Antec 900

I started my build....kind of. It will be a week by week process. Anyways, I'm kind of purchasing things in order, like case, MB, PSU.... I'm just wandering, size-wise what fits very well in an Antec 900. I'm guessing most will in that case, it isn't small, but they don't always have their size listed and I've read a few (the Thermaltake W-something) that were fine depth-wise but were too wide and you had to remove panels and stuff. Not ideal. Just wanna make sure that I order a good PSU that fits. Looking to spend $100-$160.

Most Thermaltakes will fit, I have a 900 with a Thermaltake 750w.
Main problem you will have with the 900 is it fits in the bottom and you may need extensions for some of your leads to reach.

Re: Good PSU (600-700W) for the Antec 900

Great help. Personally, I kind of like that the PSU is on the bottom, it just seems more normal to me to have the plug connect at the bottom, maybe because my dell and most electronics have that. I know the heat will rise, but the 900 has a pretty good solution for that. Will definitely check both those out.

Re: Good PSU (600-700W) for the Antec 900

the antec 650 TRIO will handle the load of a quad core running a 8800 GTS

it WONT handle SLI of that card >>>>>> but I dont see you dishing out an extra $400.00 for a second 8800 GTS >>>>>> especially if you take advantage now and get the 640 meg version of the video card >>>> you wont regret it

I would rather have the 640 meg and a cheaper $78.00 full tower coolermaster case then I would to have the 320meg video card and the antec 900 case

check mwave.com / click on refurbished / click on the continur button / click on cases and power supplies

you will see an antec 650 trio in there for under $70.00 might want to grab that as well as the coolermaster case on page 2
