Right, this should be a really easy one.
I've got an Aspire 5100 notebook laptop, and I'm trying to plug my dv camera in with a firewire cable, but it would appear there is no firewire port?! I put this down to one of two things 1) i'm being totally stupid, or 2) there is no firewire port. Is there anyone out there who would know if there is a firewire port in this model of Acer? If there is no firewire port, then my next question would be what is the cheapest/ soundest way to plug my dv camera into my laptop? Basically, what do I have to buy to make it work? Thanks, I look forward to your replies. |

Re: firewire problem
Hi,
I don't think your stupid, but I don't think this laptop came pre installed with a firewire port. If you have an available PCMCIA slot on this laptop (you should), You can purchase a Firewire PCMCIA Card for around $20.00 to get your DV Camera up and running. Hope this helps. Thanks, Bill |
