Is GeekSquad right?
Hello, this has been driving me nuts. I want to max out my computer for gaming. I have a DELL XPS 410 with a 2.66 Ghz. Intel Core 2 Duo and 2 gigs or RAM now but i want to max it out to 4 gigs. When I went to BestBuy to ask for prices ans was sent to GeekSquad where they asked what my operating system was and they said that my Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit system would not recognize 4 gigs and would only recognize up to 3. But my computer can max out to 4 and thats what I want to max it out too. Is he right?
Thank you, Danny |

Re: Is GeekSquad right?
yes, geeksquad is right, i actually loughed out loud as i was typing this cause you don't hear that everyday (geeksquad being right)... i believe with a tweak, you can get up to 3.5gb to be recognized, but 32bit windows will not see the whole four gigs. 2 gigs is enough for the next year or two, after which you could consider upgrading to a 64bit os and getting that 4 gigs.
