Memory Upgrade
Looking for some butt-kickin memory for my Asus A8N-E, I am running Windows Vista with 1 gig of CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel and wanna bump it up to 2 gigs.
Perhaps I should upgrade my MSI NX7600GT-VT2D256E GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card? Cant seem to get the performance I had when I was running Win XP, I have to run Halo 2 on the lowest settings. |

Re: Memory Upgrade
It might also be the drivers. Many games work a lot slower on Vista because it is packed with stuff. You can run Halo 2 on Windows XP. I believe a patch was posted in the Gaming forum.
That card should run Halo 2 Decent in XP. If you want a good upgrade, get a 7900GS if you don't want a PSU upgrade (BTW what PSU do you have?) or an X1950 Pro or XT if you want a really good upgrade. The 8600GTS is another good choice. If you want some awesome memory, take a look at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146034
