[SOLVED] XP ram problem

apparently windows xp professional is unavailable of picking up more than 1.5gigs of ram, is this true, and if so is there a patch i can get to be able to allow it to pick up, cos im getting new pc 2moz, and want my ram to be fully functional

By default windows xp will only recognize 3 Gigs.
