New Ram works bu i get Blue screen

I installed a new 512mb of ram to my computer it is exactly the same a the piece i originally had and it worked fine after i restart CMOS (if tht is what you call it), i get the "blue screen of death" every now and again i don't know exactly what the page says but i says i have a memory problem and that i should check if i have installed any new hardware and if so that i have done it correctly.

System Spec:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor
3500+
2.21 Ghz, 1.00 GB of Ram

Mother Board: Elite Group C51GM-M

I took out the battery and left if for 30 seconds and put it back in (i turned the power off and grounded myself)

10 minutes minimum and with the power cord unplugged, let us know what happens.

i took the battery out for 5 mins actually and when i turned my computer on it worked fine no BIOS beeps, i just want to know why i get the blue screen

Turn off auto restart in system properties and post the error number.

Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Startup & Recovery Settings button > disable 'Automatically restart' then reboot and post back with the full BSOD error message.

Have you tried memtest to test the RAM for errors? 1 stick at a time for at least 10 passes each.
