Re: How do i make my other computer have power without a powersupply fan?

Hello Ben, I assume you want to do this inorder to make your PC more quite. Am I correct?

The only way to safely do it, is to buy a PSU that is designed with passive cooling .

Give me your system specs and I'll recommend an approriate PSU. Do keep in mind that there are only a few of these made and they are not cheap.

BTW do you have any case fans in your rig?

Matt

I'm gonna be putting it on another computer, ( that needs to be rebuild ) and i have no specs on there yet. Its a old one. And theres a fan that is in front of the computer on the old one. What does the PSU Fan look like?

I'm sorry for any confusion, but PSU stands for Power Supply Unit.

You cannot disable the power supply fan, because the unit was designed to cooled with a fan. The only thing you can do is buy a power supply that is designed to run without a fan.

As I said, they are not and if your building anything new then the 300w is not going to strong enough, but below you'll find the 3 that newegg carry.
