RESOLVED Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 1GB and 512MB Problem

Hello,

I have bought the Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 laptop and I want to add more ram to make my computer run better/hold more memory. The computer comes with a 512MB ram stick in it and I bought a 1GB ram stick to put in it. I did it as the manual says..and when i go to my computer to see if its showed up, it hasn't. Says the same old amount that it started off with.

I have Vista Basic, I have two slots for Ram to go in it. I have the 512 on the bottom and the 1 gig on top. The type of memory is DDR2 if that means anything.

If there is any more info you need I can answer it.

Thanks.
