Strange RAM problem.

I've recently updated PC.I've replaced my motherboard, processor, ram.
Configuration:
AMD Athlon X2 3800+[Processor]
MSI K9AGM2[Motherboard]
Umax 1GB-DDR2 533mhz

But i've problems with my RAM.Its speed is 533mhz but when I use everest, cpuz,Pc wizard[system information softwares]all these softwares show my RAM speed at 266mhz.I've asked my vendor he said if it is written on the RAM stick 533 then it is 533mhz.And on my RAM stick it is written UMAX DDR-2 533.
Also my restart itself suddenly and it shows the message "your system has recovered from a serious error".
What is the problem I cant understand is this the problem of OS or hardware. And plz tell me a software to check the exact RAM speed.
This is everest and other softwares result.

Re: Strange RAM problem.

That could be your O/S there have been many problems with vista and still is.
Maybe you should try and install XP and see if the problem continues
