Re: do i have enough power

Hi,
I have to admit that I don't understand the question. Do you mean that the 399 Watts should be added to the 400 Watts = 799 Watts? If so - that's incorrect. Your computer will be fine with the 680 Watts you got, unless it's a very low quality PSU.

Re: do i have enough power

Three things come to mind here:

First of all, I think you do have the wattage issue incorrect as stated by eneles. You don't add them up that way.

Second, the wattage of a power supply is not an exact science because they measure them differently for cheap power supplies, so if you have a good brand, it is large enough IMHO. If it is a cheapo, then you might have a problem there.

Third, if the darn thing is running fine, then use my motto: "If it isn't broke, don't fix it." Use it until you have a problem and then try to fix what is broken. Have a great day.

The price on that is horrendous for it's quality (or total lack of).

Re: do i have enough power

Take a look at this one for $99 after mail in rebate. It is an Antec 650 Trio and is a great supply:

Re: do i have enough power

When it comes in, let us know how it works. Always nice for the follow up. I guess somehow I missed which one you ordered that Kalim suggested so wondered what it was. Have a great evening and I will mark this one as resolved.

Which one did I recommend?

I haven't recommended one in this thread to redsunx yet, maybe he's talking about another thread.

Kalim, that helps. I didn't see one, but thought I missed it somewhere. Just would like to know which one he ordered. Thanks for the reply.
