Ideal PSU volt for Online 3D game

I love to play online 3D games but it always restarted or hanged after couple of minutes. One of the reason is my Power Supply voltage is too low - 230AV.

If I want to upgrade it, what voltage suitable for my ATX case? In Malaysia, there are:

Zalman, I Cute, Enlight, Power Logic, Tagan, Cooler Master, ACBEL, Enermax, Entax and HEC

Which brands recommended by you?

Re: Ideal PSU volt for Online 3D game

Hi,

230 V is the power supply input voltage (from the wall socket).
You will need a power supply with about 400 Watts output to run your computer - have a look at this PSU.
If you want to upgrade the video card you may need more Wattage (output).

What are you saying i am sure it could run on an 300 watt but for upgrades go higher, also it is an older computer so it may need more amps on the 3.3 and 5v rails, you don't need volts for a case.

Are you referring to my answer? If so - yes, the computer could probably run on a 300 W PSU - but there are few, if any, quality supplies below 430 W.

Re: Ideal PSU volt for Online 3D game

I've checked the hardware list for 2007, but unluckily the recommended PSU (Cooler Master 430w I Green) is still new and only available for 500w and 600w and not 430w + the price is high.

However, im gona go for Cooler Master Extreme Power 430w. Still high price about RM 150 (usd1=rm 3.40) but sure worth it.

Thanks for replied.
