Laugh Install Ram trouble

Hello, This is my first post here so I hope someone can help me.

I have a Asus P4S800-MX motherboard with Intel P4 CPU 3.00ghz proc.
I have been running two sticks of 512mb ram and wanted to upgrade.
I just purchased a 1gig stick from ebay. DDR128 PC400 1G AUM1107.(1GB PC3200 400Mhz DDR 400 Mhz 184PIN 1 GB G 1024MB)

I have inserted the 1gig stick with original 512mb stick but it is not showing full capacity of new 1 gig stick. It is only showing up as 512mb.
I have pulled out my old ram and booted with new 1 gig ram and also only showing as 512mb.

Is there a setting in the bios I need to change or is this ram not compatable with my mb??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Undercover,

It sounds like you have a memory density problem. You should read THIS.

Hope it helps.
