RESOLVED Ram Installation problems

i recently bought a new stick of ram 512MB PC2 - 4200 CL4 240 - Pin DIMM and installed into next ot me other 512mb stick of ram i then turned the power back onto my computer and pressed the power switch, nothing appeared on my screen and i was getting a BEEP, BEEP, BEEP from my tower does anyone know how to solve this problem or knows what is rong

i returned the first stick and bought a stick identical to the one i orgiannyl have i tried tht and have the same problemi tried them both individually and original one works but the new one doesnt i tried both my ram slots but it just beeps ... any1 knwo how i can get this working?

Please be patient while waiting for a reply. Sometimes it takes 12 - 24 hours for a response.

If the RAM stick doesn't work alone, there could be a problem with the stick. Try it in another computer that takes DDR2.

We will need to know what motherboard this is. Follow the suggestion mattlock138 gave you so we can determine the motherboard.

i somehow got it working sorry if i was beeing impatient, i think i must of needed to clean the slot becuase it seemed to work sorry for any inconvenience
