ram stick not working
hello,
i am trying to get a "hynix 1gb pc2-5300u 555" ddr2 ram stick to work on a "asus p5vdc-x" motherboard but when i try to start my system the red loading light just stays on and the computer does nothing. in the manual it doesnt state this ram stick as being supported but i was wondering if there is anyway to maybe make it work? |

Re: ram stick not working
Before you try any bios updates, try clearing the cmos, either by the board jumper, or by pulling the cmos battery out for 10min.
Either way, of course, unplug the machine, and destatic yourself, [grab the metal case before entering] |
