How to select appropriate power supply

I'm putting together a computer from components (well, choosing the components, a tech will put the machine together). I'm using an Athlon 64 X2 3800 with a Asus A8V Deluxe Motherboard. I've four options for power supply ranging from 350W to 600W. I'm leaning towards the Enermax EG701AX-VE
600W, but its quite a bit more expensive than the 350W option. Could someone please explain how one should choose a power supply and what the benefits of the 600W would be? Thank you!

My System

I agree with Tumbleweed 100%

if you look in my system specs (at left under my ID) I am running the Enermax EG701AX-VE
This unit is about 8 months old and has been very reliable; but I have seen alot of troubles popping up with Enermax as a whole lately on the net! I would not buy this unit today!

The unit referenced above is my choice when budget is in the consideration. When the budget isnt as big a factor then I am all for Seasonic S12-600 watt for your system. If this Enermax were to die tonite, the Seasoic S12-600 would get the nod. (btw: the Antec TRIO series is really made by Seasonic )

hope this helps!

That is definitely a good deal. If you are planning on buying soon, I would advise taking advantage of that deal before it goes away. That is a great PSU, and it has a great price on it.
