power supply

hi,i have a power supply that is very loud and when i shut down the computer,it makes a whining sound,i want to replace it,it is a Aopen model
# atx250n,it is 250 watt,all i know is that the computer is a p3,with a cd player dvd rewriter and an a drive,i was told a good replacement was the powerlink lpk2-30 500w 20/24 p.would or could someone suggest a good replacement.thanks

My System

make sure you get an ATX version 1.0 the older motherboards use the 3.3volt and 5 volt rail much harder than the new Atx version 2.0

you want a single rail PSU


look at the Fortron 350 to 400 watt unit on newegg.com
