hp deskjet 3920, love it or hate it?

just bought one. initial price, more than ok...

but im anticipating a high cost to run it. the inks are through the roof with only a 5mL capacity. buying a new set of cartridges is almost like buying a new printer. but i expected we could get more out of these cartridges since the fast draft prints are acceptable to pass to my college professors. plus the refills are cheaper and said to be pretty good quality. enough anyway.

am i right? am i wrong? am i saving my parents money? am i being wasteful?

Actually hp's are not bad with ink use. There are worse ones in the market.

Just got a Canon Pixma iP4200 for around 80 bucks, and I'm really happy with it- it has separate inkwells for CMY and two blacks, so at least I won't be throwing ink away like I was with my old one.

I'll be taking along with me a Canon Bubble Jet 30 as well for volume printing- the cartridges are dirt cheap on ebay.

That way I can save the color ink for printing photos, etc.

yeah? thats good to hear... how many months do u think i can expect a 5mL set of cartridges to last for basic school stuff in fast draft mode?
