Locking Input Trays
This is basically a repost of a similar question someone asked 18 months ago; I'm hoping for new input...
I am looking for a way to physically lock the input trays on some HP 4250 printers. These printers will be placed in mostly-unsupervised public areas (in university computing labs), and paper-use quotas are in effect, so we have a felt need to make sure that paper is not removed by unauthorized parties. I have seen at least two commercial solutions that would probably work, one from BMS/lockdown.com and another from CompuLock. On some previous printers, we installed a simple hardware-store-bought locking hasp. We are looking for a solution that is functional, reasonably non-ugly, and inexpensive. Anyone have experience with any such solutions? Other ideas??? -- eggemon |
