Colours not right

This is my first post on this forum. I could use some help. I had an Epson C82 but having not used it for a while it dried up. It was cheaper to replace than repair and not wanting to go through the same with another C82 I bought an epson R245. But when I print colour photos the colours just don't match whats on my monitor. They print much darker and no matter what changes I make on my computer to the images they still don't print right. Is there a simple way to make sure that what I see is what I print or have I got myself a lemon of a printer. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Might be the cartridges you are using.

Did you uninstall all the old Epson software before loading the new one?

colours not right

Thanks for your replies. As far as I know I have the right ink. I did not uninstall the C82 software before installing the new software. Should I now uninstall both and start from scratch or just uninstall the C82 software ? Again, any advice greatly appreciated.

Yes. Uninstall both. Check the web site for the latest software for your printer and load that.
