Greetings,
I searched for a solution to my problem on the Web, but didn't find anything. I have an HP LaserJet 4P and an HP DeskJet 1220c. I want to print onto 3.5" x 5.5" card stock. On each printer, the results are as if I have standard paper installed, causing the image to be shifted off the card stock. Both printers were tested using PageMaker 6.5 and Word 2000, with the same results. This appears to rule out the printers, drivers, and software. I do not believe the trouble could be the common cable or the computer. Rather, I think the trouble may be with Windows XP Profressional. I have confirmed that the driver settings are properly configured, and I am experienced with both PageMaker and Word, such as the page layout and dimension settings. I have been able to print on card stock in the past, using the LaserJet, however that was on a now-obselete PC, using Windows 98. Is there something about Windows XP that would cause the wrong escape sequences to be sent to the printers, and not properly configure the paper sizes? Thank you! ---Michael Reynolds |

Besides going to the printer settings in the printer software,
check the application settings. Any settings in the applications will override the default printer settings.
