Okay, I'm in a pickle. A few years ago I received an all-in-one free from HP to test. It only has a USB 1.1 port. It worked fine for me while I had my old laptop, but now I bought myself a new laptop and all it has are 2.0 USB ports. Therefore I can't connect the two machines together. Is there some kind of cable that will connect a 1.1 to a 2.0 so you can use it? I went to an office store and they'd never heard of such a cable. But surely I'm not the only one with this problem? How are people supposed to use their 1.1 devices when their computers only have 2.0 ports?
Help, please |

USB 2.0 is backward compatible with USB 1.1 hardware . Not sure what issue you are having.

The all-in-one model number is 5510; it is an HP officejet. This was a tester model so I'm not sure this model was mass-produced. My issue is that the cable that came with the all-in-one simply won't fit into the USB 2.0 port in my computer. Or my mom's computer. Or my sister's computer. What in the world?

All the HP all in one's I have setup use a standard USB AB cable like this one.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...p?EdpNo=332957 The only difference in USB 1.1 and 2.0 cables are the rated speed.
