how long will ink last

if i have brand new boxed ink how long will it last before going bad? and what can i do to increase the length

Good question!

According to HP, the average is 18 months unopened and 180 days installed.

well that cant be too accurate ive had my current ink in here for 6 months

not to mention it sat in my closet for at least 6 before i installed it ;p

i figured it would be a year or more opened and 3 years unopened
