desperate for help with BroMFC: only prints graphics
Hi all,
This 6-mth old printer USB printer, model MFC 210C, was working fine with old pc, W2K. Then I bourght new pc with XP x64, and ended up junking that OS with brand new wiped HDD and installing the XP Pro that I have on my son's PC and was happy with, and the problem persists: it will only print graphics, no text. Things we've eliminated as non-causal are: *all the diagnostics say it's working fine, including ports *I'm sure it's not the printer hardware, as it did print a document emailed from elsewhere even under x64, and as long as I don't try to print anything I create, it's fine (prints faxes, journal records, etc.) *everything is up to date, including the newest drivers (installed correctly) and the newest firmware *also tried installing it on my son's PC, which has different hardware/TSR setup, and the same problem occurs *can't print from command prompt either, tried that Brother has been trying to help, and have escalated the problem, but I was expecting a promised call today and have been waiting here all day for it... |
