USB virtual printer port for printer
I need to install a xerox phaser 3115 printer on a windows ME computer. I plug in the printer to usb port and the computer did detact the printer but at device manager, there is exclamation mark. The error is driver not found. Because i does not have the driver so i download it from here.
http://www.fujixerox.com.au/support/...ode=Windows+ME After download. i install the driver using the add new hardware. During the installation, there is a list for me to choose the LTP port or COM port but this printer is using usb port! So, i just choose LTP port first then after finish install i go to contol panel -> printer and go to properties of the printer, at the port tab, it is using LTP(because i choose LTP port during install) and i could not found the virtual printer port for usb. Usually at windows xp, there is a USB001 for printer right, but why it does not exist at windows ME? Could some one please help me how to install this printer on windows me or what is the correct way to install the driver downloaded from xerox website? |
