Canon BJC-210 Printer and Vista

There does not seem to be driver available to enable me to use my old BJC-210 printer with my new computer which has Vista OS?

Hi and welcome!

Actually, the BJC-210 drive support ended with Windows ME.

Unfortunately, Canon is not going to produce any drivers for your specific printer for VISTA.

Thanks for that. I know that is the official situation but when I Google this problem I have seen at least four suggestions by other users about being able to use a BJC-210 with Vista, and even more with XP, but unfortunately none of them seems to work for me.

Hi and thanks for the update.

The only "decent" thing that I could find for you to try, at your own risk of course, is to try install the BJC-265sp model. The driver for this already exist in XP and VISTA.

There isn't much risk to trying it, however, it is strongly recommended that you create a restore point before you do it.
