Epsom S20 cartridge problems

I have an Epsom s20 printer. I have put new ink cartridges in and everytime I try to print I get an error message saying the cartridges are not recognised. Can anyone help. I cannot print at all.

Re: Epsom S20 cartridge problems

Hi and welcome!

Please check to make sure you have removed the contact protectors on the cartridges. *** DO NOT TOUCH THE CONTACTS ***

Are you using "original" cartridges?

If they are properly removed......

Please do the following to see if you have firmware lockup:
  1. Remove the cartridges
  2. Turn the printer off
  3. Unplug the power cord from the printer
  4. Disconnect the cable from the printer to the PC
  5. Turn the printer on without the cable connected to the PC
  6. Install the cartridges
  7. Power the printer back off
  8. Disconnect the power cord from the printer
  9. Power the printer back on
  10. Connect the printer to the PC
If this does not solve the problem then you either have defective cartridges or your carriage and/or cable is faulty.

Thank you very much!
