HPC4480 Cannot get to work with VISTA

Installed the HP software for the printer. Then it told me to plug in the device and it did not recognize the printer. When the printer is plugged in it says the printer is "offline." And then I go into Control Panel and printer, and click on Use Printer Online. However, when I try to print it says "error", and does not print.

Please Help. Thanks

Please delete the printer icon and insert the disk software that came with the printer, make sure to unplug first the printer usb cable. Choose "Add a device" then follow the instructions to install back the printer driver. let me know ASAP for the result.

Thank you, I plugged the printer in when directed, but it didn't work because the software did not recognize that the printer was plugged in. - So I could not continue the installation because it would not let me click the "next" button.

Ok, please insert the disk software. Open the disk software, inside the disk software look for a folder UTIL, under it look for CC, in CC look for a file name Uninstall L2.bat and follow the instructions. After performing the L2, do the same step and perform Uninstall.L3 and Uninstall.L4 please do not restart the computer in every step just check the check box saying restart my computer later. After all the steps has been performed, please install back the printer. I sure it will work this time. Let me know on the result ASAP.
