Help with Canon iP 3000

My Canon Pixma 3000 printer is 4 years old and maybe just worn out. I recently bought a new head for it and it was working find until I run out of Magenta ink. I refill my own ink and so I done so and replaced the cart. I had been printing out photos and it was working better than ever. However now it will not print with out pink streaks, and the rest of the picture looks like there is no magenta in it at all. I've run through all the cleaning procedures and no change. Now here's the strange thing, it will print out the nozzle check good as well as the print head alignment test good. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I sure hate to lose this printer because of the refilling my own ink. Thanks for any information I can get. Bobbie6768

Try using a new Canon print cartridge and see what happens.

Re: Help with Canon iP 3000

Thank you for your response, I just might give it a try. I sure hate to lose this printer. It's been a good one and I've refilled these cartridges for at least 2 years. I've been reading everything I can and that just might be the problem. thanks again Bobbie
