espon cx5000 will not print

i haven't used my epson cx5000 in several months. i put new ink cartridges (all 4 ) first it just printed light blue only. after trying to clean heads,
pages now blank kept trying to get ink to work ,checked alignment -everything i tried ,i get blank pages. now it says i have no ink ,all cartridges are empty need new ink .
is this an ink problem or is my printer dead

Sounds like the print head is clogged.
