Wireless printing - Hp1505

I have a HP Laserjet 1505 (no 'n') . It is connected to my Vista PC and prints fine from there.

I have connected the Printer wirelessly to my Vista laptop. The printer is online, sharing is enabled and there don't appear to be any faults!! But I simply cannot print from my laptop, no matter what I try!!

I've looked on the net for a solution but it's all very confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Wireless printing - Hp1505

You have to add the printer in Printers and Faxes and install the drivers.

Re: Wireless printing - Hp1505

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I can't install the driver because it comes up with an error saying that the printer is not connected. It's not physically connected, but it is connected wirelessly. What should I do about that?

I don't have an error message at all, it seems as if it has all worked fine but then I go to the printer and it's not printed!

Please delete the printer icon/name in Printers and Faxes or Printers folder under Control Panel. Insert the software disk and choose "add a device" then follow the steps to install back the printer driver.

Re: Wireless printing - Hp1505

I installed the drivers, and it still didn't work.

The only thing that worked was to take the laptop upstairs, and plug the printer USB into the laptop and print the doc. That's all well and good for me, but we also have another two PC's in the house that used to print to the printer upstairs, so it's a pain really.

I'd never advise anyone to buy this printer if you intend to print from more than one computer.

Re: Wireless printing - Hp1505

Are you sure that this printer can work wirelessly? Kindly check on the manual of the printer again.
