New Brother 2170W won't print

I just bought a new 2170 to replace the old. It prints a test page fine but doesn't seem to want to communicate with my computer, so all my print jobs get errors. I've reinstalled the software, it seems to install fine, but will not print. It makes those "I'm about to print" noises, then stops and goes back to solid blue light.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

Is the print spooler service started and running in services?

control panel, admin tools, services, see if it is started and running

are you connected network, usb or wireless?
