Re: HL5250DN won't power up
Hi icelatte and welcome to TSF!
How old is your HL5250? Is it still under warranty. I would try calling Brother's support and see what they have to advice you.

Re: HL5250DN won't power up
hey 2xgrump.........
thanks for the reply..............about 18 months! Called Brother's, if you can call it "tech support" ,where you get an operator masking as a tech but really doesn't have a clue and is only able to direct you to the nearest repair shop in your area! I've benched the unit and tested the switch side: Hot plug wires good, switch opens and close, power cord has power and outlet is good. laptop reads the machine on the USB port, but it just won't power on. Does nothing when you hit the on off switch.....any ideas? |

Re: HL5250DN won't power up
that looks like a hardware issue (the on/off switch) that you may want to take to a printer repair shop. Is it worth getting it fixed or just to get a new one?
