Epson stylus NX100 driver won't install

I just bought a new printer, and when I try to install it on the computer, the driver install does not complete I get the message

This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

I actually called their "support" line, and they told me to go exchange the printer, I bring the new one home and the same thing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turn off your windows firewall, and antivirus. They may be stopping some files from installing. Close all other programs. If using USB, your connection may be only 1.0, check to see if you have a 2.0 USB port.
