Sleep mode for HP PS C8180?
Hi, I'm Mike, I'm new to the forums. My reason for registering is likely similar to most of you other members: Google didn't help.
I just purchased a C8180 (For $50 thanks to clearance sale and HP InfoLab $200 rebate!) and just finished setting it up. I set up the printer in my bedroom and noticed that produces a very distracting light from the screen that is rather bright when the lights are turned off. I'm not a fan of turning my electronics off and on, so I was wondering if there is a way to turn the screen off or put the printer to sleep. Also, let's say there isn't an option to do that, and I choose to turn the printer off only at night. Do you guys think the screen will be harmed if it's on all day long every day? I know some of you will say to just turn it on when you want to print something, but I'd really rather leave it on all the time for convenience reasons. Thanks. |

Re: Sleep mode for HP PS C8180?
Ah, it seems it the screen does, in fact, go into sleep mode. However, it remains fully lit for more than an hour after use.
Something is better than nothing, I guess :p. I'm assuming there's no way to adjust the time it takes for it to go into sleep mode? |
