Canon mp160 question

Hi,
I am having a problem with the color printing. Thought it just needed reseting.
So I ;
Reset, it has recognized the cartridge.
I ran all recommended maintenance.
Turned off grayscale.
Cleaned the pad where the ink goes into the ink feeding tube, it is clear and flowing.
There never has been an error code, just no color ink.

I didn't use the color for a long time so something could be dried out.
I think there is something else I need to clean but don't know where or how.
Or could it possibly be a faulty cartridge?

Thanks for help in advance.

Re: Canon mp160 question

I know the cartridges aren't exactly cheap for that model, I have one, but I'd try a new cartridge.

Re: Canon mp160 question

Here Andrea, try this.

Also if you are using the Refilable ink cartiages stop they always cause major issues I own a computer and been into computer repair and consulting for 13years I see problems all the time with the refilable cartiages.

1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.
