want to network printer
I recently picked up a HP Laserjet 4050 (not new) and want to network it with my computers (2 desktops, 1 laptop). I have a Linksys wireless router, model WRK54G. The HP 4050 only has a parallel interface and a serial port, but it also has an I/O modular slot. If I were to install a JetDirect card (620n), then connect an RJ-45 cable from it to the router, would I be able to access the printer from any PC connected to the router? Can it be that simple?

Hello and Welcome to TSF,
I found this in the specs: CJ3113A - 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 Jet Direct Card (bundled with 4050 N/4050 TN) You can simply hook a Lan cable from the printer directly to the router and then you should beable to access the printer from any of the pc`s your on.
