Epson 9880 stops printing
We are a commercial printer and use our Epson 9880 to provide proofs for customers before printing the job. This Epson will simply stop printing with no error messages and eject the paper just as though it had finished the job. We can print cut sheets or roll paper, this selection being made at the Epson itself. This problem does not happen with roll paper, only cut sheets. This pretty much rules out workflow, networking or RIP issues. This is random, may happen once in eight proofs, then maybe for the next three. Epson tech support is of no help; they refuse to send out a tech unless the Epson fails to print directly from Photoshop (bypassing the RIP).
Any help would be appreciated! |
