Lexmark X83 Paper Won't Feed

I just bought a barely used Lexmark X83 to use without a computer but the paper will not feed through. When I press copy it pulls the paper down about a 1/3 of the way and stops. You can hear it printing and it sounds like it is trying to pull the paper through. When it stops printing I receive a jam message even though the paper never even went through. I have checked it for small pieces that may have gotten caught but I don't see anything.

I have a Lexmark printer (different model) but I've had the same problem, and I discovered that there's usually a TINY piece of paper stuck in the rollers somewhere that usually requires tweezers to remove... check under all the rollers and in all the tight little spaces you just may find something there...
