Canon PIXMA iP5200R 6A00 fault
During an uneventful printing session (6 x 4 photos) my Canon PIXMA iP5200R quietly displayed a 6A00 paper feed track error (12 alternating green/yellows) . As its out of warranty and I now can't find a printer with a close enough resemblance I obtained the Service Manual and Parts Catalog PSDs and removed the purge unit - which various forum remarks indicated to be a common cause of this fault. I found nothing in or amiss with the unit and returned it, clean and functioning correctly mechanically. On re-assembly the error indication persists - both in User and Service modes. Diligent searching while the machine was apart revealed nothing extraneous. Apart from buying another - which I would have done had it been possible to find a close enough match to this machine!- Can anyone help me with an idea for a next step?
