Canon Pixma Ip5000 won't turn on...

I have a canon pixma ip5000 and it won't turn on. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the printer itself, but I push the power button and nothing happens and the printer is plugged in and everything.

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

Where do you have it plugged into to? Try a different outlet, in another room if you have to, just to see if it will get power.

Did you just purchase the printer?...if so and it doesnt want to come on, simply take it back to store and get another one?

Note: Please do not take my suggestions wrongly here but dont have much info here and trying to see where you are with it at the moment.

I've test all the outlets and that doesn't seem to problem and the printer is not new I've had it for quite a while and it was working the day before, but for some reason it decided to just stop functioning.
