Vista Printer Spooler

Hello

Heres the situation...
I was setting up a brand new Dell laptop on a peer to peer network. There was two mapped drives and two printers to set up. The printers are hosted on two different PCs.
I went to \\PC1 and right clicked the printer share (it was something along the lines of a Laserjet 3000) and clicked connect. The printer installed with no problems.
Then I went to \\PC2 and saw there were two drivers for the next printer (a large Toshiba copier) one was a black&white driver, the other was color. I right clicked on the black&white share, clicked connect and got an error that the print spooler has stopped working.

Since that error, all printers are gone. Every time I try to install a printer, or click add printer I get that same error. I have stopped the print spooler service, started it again many times. Restarted the PC - everything.

I've searched for people with this problem, I found a few but everyone by the end of the thread just wiped their PC and did a clean install of vista.

I found a resource kit from microsoft with a print spooler clean utility, but it is not compatible with Vista.

I'm not at the computer with the problem right now, but I can get screenshots if you need them.

Thanks
